Enjoy the spectacular switchbacks and tunnels road to the scenic Checkerboard Mesa area: savor picnic lunches and easy nature walks as you explore this gorgeous scenery. You will also motor over new Highway 12 through the incredible Escalante Canyons to Torrey. Around every turn there is a marvelous work of Nature! Be sure to have your cameras ready as you motor onto Goblin Valley State Park with its weird wind eroded mushroom shaped rocks – a sight to behold.
Sunrise and sunset are spectacular in the mountains and this sojourn explores all the sights you’ve read about! With stops at the Altar, Weeping Rock, Temple and Pulpit, Angel’s Landing, and the Narrows. You will also visit the arches, window rocks, courtyard towers, petrified dunes, balanced rock and fiery furnace at Archers State Park. A visit to Dead Horse Point State Park and the Canyonlands National Park overlook is included as well.
No visit out west could be complete without a day spent at Monument Valley where you will enjoy a guided truck tour of the monuments. Once at Lake Powell, enjoy a scenic lake cruise in the morning and an included lunch at a restaurant overlooking the lake.

Day 1: Fly to Las Vegas, NV / Coach to Zion NP, UT
Arrive in Las Vegas and board your coach for the drive to Mesquite, NV for lunch on own. Continue on to Springdale, UT, gateway to Zion Park. Holiday Inn Express, Springdale, UT
Day 2: Zion NP / Kolob Terraces
Morning tour of the Zion National Park valley floor to include stops at the Altar, Weeping Rock, Temple & Pulpit, Angel’s Landing, and the Narrows. Free afternoon to join us for a free trip to incredible Kolob Terraces in the upper park. Your Get Acquainted Dinner is at a local restaurant. Holiday Inn Express, Springdale, UT (B,D)
Day 3: Zion NP / Bryce NP / Escalante
Depart Zion via the spectacular switchbacks & tunnels road to the parks scenic Checkerboard Mesa area. Later arrive at Bryce National Park (altitude 7,000 ft). Enjoy many stops along the rim of the canyon, plus an easy nature walk from Sunset Point to Sunrise Point. After lunch, motor over new Highway 12 through the incredible Escalante Canyons to Torrey. Day 4: Escalante / Capitol Reef NP / Moab, UT
Motor along amazing Hell’s Backbone Highway and tour Capitol Reef National Park with a picnic lunch included. Drive into the parks box canyons with their sheer rock walls. Next motor onto Goblin Valley State Park with its weird wind eroded mushroom shaped rocks. Arrive in Moab with dinner included at a local restaurant. Moab Valley Inn, Moab, UT (B,L,D)
Day 5: Arches NP / Canyonlands NP
Full day sightseeing with Archers National Park in the morning with included picnic lunch. Visit the arches, window rocks, courtyard towers, petrified dunes, balanced rock and fiery furnace. Day 6: Moab, UT / Monument Valley SP / Kayenta
Drive south to Blanding for Edge of Cedars State Park.Then onto Monument Valley with lunch included. Next, enjoy an afternoon guided truck tour of the monuments. Learn about the Navajo Indians plus the western movies made her by John Wayne and John Ford. Motor on to nearby Kayenta for the night. Hampton Inn, Kayenta, UT (B, L)
Day 7: Kayenta / Lake Powell / Kanab
Drive to the town of Page at Lake Powell. Enjoy a morning lake cruise out to Antelope Canyon. This afternoon, we visit the spectacular “Slot Canyons” plus tour the Glen Canyon Dam that makes the lake possible. Continue on to Kanab for 2 nights. Hampton Inn, Kanab, UT (B, L)
Day 8: North Rim Grand Canyon
Awesome scenery awaits you today as you motor on a day trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (altitude 8,300 ft.). Only 10% of the national park visitors go to the North Rim. Enjoy a coach tour along the rim with many scenic stops. Pause for lunch on own at the historic hotel here. Then return to Kanab by way of the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. Day 9: Kanab / Las Vegas / Fly Home
Coach back to Las Vegas airport arriving mid afternoon. (B)
