What says Christmas more than spectacular lighting displays and Charles Dickens? Our annual Christmas Interlude will be heading to the gloriously famous Winter Festival of Lights at Oglebay Resort. Noted as one of the best displays of holiday lights in the United States, Oglebay offers lights and so much more to help you get into the Christmas spirit. Going to and from West Virginia, we have some wonderful experiences planned for you. Wander through the fantastic displays at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens where you’ll enjoy four Christmas themed Biomes and a phenomenal display of the world-famous Chihuly glass.
Your stay at Oglebay is jammed-packed with fun things to do before the fabulous Festival of Lights guided tour. Mansion Museum and a Glass House are to be toured and a terrific dinner with entertainment are all part of our package.

Day 1: Indianapolis / Columbus, OH
We will head east into Ohio where our first stop will be in Columbus, where our group will tour four holiday themed Biomes at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The extensive work of Dale Chihuly will also be on display. We’ll continue to the Oglebay Resort, tonight enjoy a dinner show. Oglebay Resort, Wheeling, WV (CB,L,D & Performance)
Day 2: Oglebay Resort
A full day of activities is planned at Oglebay today. The resort is all decked out for Christmas. Tour the Mansion Museum and the Glass House Schrader Center for shopping and crafts, and Good Zoo. This evening enjoy a buffet dinner before experiencing a tour guided tour to through the world-famous Winter Festival of Lights. Top off this great day with the Cordial Gathering for tea, coffee, cookies and entertainment. (B,D)
Day 3: Cambridge, OH / Indianapolis
After our included breakfast, we begin our journey home by stopping at Cambridge Ohio where we will pick up our Dickens Victorian Village Guide. Enjoy National Museum of Cambridge Glass where costumed guides will tell about “Christmas at the Cambridge.” Lunch with Queen Victor at the Cambridge Country Club her highness will regal us with what Christmas was like during her reign. In downtown Cambridge, stroll Dickens Victorian Village with 168 mannequins in 96 scenes that line the street. Our downtown tour will end at the Welcome Center where we can see a video of how the incredible mannequins were made, visit the gift shop and enjoy Imagination Station where we don clothing from the Dickens era and have our picture taken with Charles – himself. One last stop before we head out of town will be to the Christmas House where you will find two full floors of unique Christmas gifts. (B,L)
